[ Thorens TD 150 Turntable ]

This is one most important turntables in the hi-fi history. The Thorens TD 150 is, with the Acoustic Research Turntable (AR) the first one that used the suspended chassis system. Since it was introduced in 1965 it has been copied several times, but maybe the most famous of this copies is the one made in 1972 by Linn, the LP12 turntable still in production.

As I said before the TD 150 uses is a belt driven-suspended chassis turntable. It was first made in 1965 and it was replaced some years after (aprox. 1972) by the TD 160 and other models. It was sold at the same time that two of the best Thorens turntables the TD 124 and the TD 125. Its design is very simple but very efficient. Both aspects make the TD 150 a very desirable vintage turntable for collectors. Fitted with a good tonearm like the SME 3009 used here, it can give a lot of pleasure to music lovers.
